Teenage sensation Conor Kelly has once again shown his potential after a fantastic performance at the Morton Games in Dublin yesterday.
The 17-year-old Finn Valley AC athlete smashed the Irish U20 400m record, posting a time of 45.85 seconds and recording a fourth-placed finish in the race.
He is now gearing up for the Junior European Athletics Championships in Finland in the coming weeks.
“(My) birthday is in a week and I wanted to be able to say I was a 45 (second) runner when I was 17! That was the goal and I ticked the box so, very happy,” Conor told Athletics Ireland after his historic run.
