Gardaí have seized €2.2 million worth of illegal drugs after a major operation in the east of the country.
A man aged in his 30s has been arrested in relation to the seizure, which was initiated when the man was stopped by Gardaí on the N7 in Laois.
Gardaí say that cocaine with a value of approximately €100,000 was discovered in the suspect’s car.
A further search of a property in west Dublin saw Gardaí discover €160,000 worth of cannabis, €1.2 million worth of ketamine, another €530,000 worth of cocaine and diamorphines worth €210,000.
The man is currently being held for further questioning, with Gardaí saying the seized drugs will undergo further forensic analysis.
