Here are all of the match results and reports from this week’s Donegal Women’s League senior and underage fixtures.

DWL Senior Match Reports 07/07/2025
Keadue Rovers 3-0 Raphoe Town
Keadue Rovers Ladies picked up their first win of the 11 a side league with this convincing win brought about by three second half goals against a strong Raphoe team. Played in cool conditions for July, the home team settled much quicker, with Katie O’Donnell, playing wide right, used her pace, making some good runs while Aislinn Coll was the focal point for a lot of attacks around the edge of the box. Despite the home team possession, Raphoe had the first shot on target with Rachel Lawne through on goal but her shot was saved by Ellie McGarvey. Keadue kept applying the pressure and had majority possession but on eighteen minutes, Orlaith Connolly had a shot saved as she shot on goal. Amy Hanna was showing well up top for Keadue and following her good work, Aislinn Coll’s shot was just wide. Sarah Doherty and Sinead Doogan in midfield were winning a lot of ball in midfield and it gave the home side a large share of possession and territory but they just couldn’t capitalise. Raphoe’s Rocha McCullagh & Allanah Kee were very strong at centre back and after a Raphoe injury play delayed for a few minutes, it was a scrappy ending to the first half but Keadue had one final chance to take a deserved lead but Amy Hanna just struck wide of the far post to leave it scoreless at halftime. At the start of the second half, Amy Hanna was unlucky not to break the deadlock when her shot was saved well by Kelsey Parke. Sarah Jane Kelly in midfield and Alannah Kee were again influential for Raphoe but possession and openings were coming more and more to the home side. Aislinn Coll again was the link player for Keadue, playing some fine passes in behind Raphoe’s defence but still Keadue couldn’t fashion the opener. Then on sixty two minutes, Aislinn Coll’s low shot to the far post went in via an unfortunate slip from Kelsey Parke in the Raphoe goal to put Keadue one up. With confidence up, Keadue kept the pressure on with a few good set pieces and from one of these, the ball broke loose to Kate Gillespie, who slotted it low to the net for 2-0. Keadue made a few subs at that stage, as did Raphoe but Keadue’s subs kept working hard and the home side’s impressive second half almost yielded a third when Katie O’Donnell headed wide on eighty eight minutes but Keadue rounded off the scoring in the final minute with a well taken solo goal by Aislinn Coll to seal a deserved win. A good performance from Raphoe, who played some good football and whose defence put in a very good shift. For the home side, a fine performance with high energy and skill from every player on the night. Thanks to referee Liam McLaughlin on the night.

Bonagee United 1-0 Letterkenny Rovers
This game was always going to be a tight affair with both teams being physically strong. Bonagee started off the stronger side and continued throughout the game. But the Rovers defence was solid and hard to break down. Both teams battling hard in the middle. Rovers went through and three players all clashed. As a result of this Bonagee goalkeeper Nimah Mailey had to be subbed off. The home side finally got their goal with a long range hit by Catherine Grier. Second half was pretty much the same as the first where both teams created little chances. Five minutes from time a Rovers player found a gap and was one on one with goalkeeper Claire Doherty but failed to find the back of the net in what could have been a fair, good result with a draw.

DWL U12 Match Reports 08/07/2025
Premier Division
Lagan Harps 2-0 Dunfanaghy Youths
Two first half goals saw Lagan pick up the points in a really competitive encounter. Both teams went at it from the start with both sides going close early on. Lagan took the lead on twelve minutes when Caoimhe Sweeney knocked home a cross at the back post. Clara Ward- Duffy and Sophie Barber went close for Dunfanaghy and Emily Craig was forced into a couple of good saves. Emily McMahon grabbed Lagan’s second on twenty four minutes. She raced through but Cara Sweeney did well to block her shot. However Emily reacted quickly to score the rebound. The game was end to end for the rest of the half. The second half followed the same pattern. Amanda Caldwell held the Lagan defence together with Aisling Alcorn doing the same for Dunfanaghy. Catherine Caldwell got through a huge amount of work for Lagan attacking and defending. Demi Doran almost got a third for Lagan but her shot went just over the bar. Dunfanaghy also went close with a couple of efforts, but there were no further scores. A really entertaining game between two evenly matched sides.

Finn Valley Gaels 0-0 Cappry Rovers As
Finn Valley welcomed neighbours Cappry Rovers to the Finn Valley centre for this match. The 1st half was a tight affair with Cappry having most of the play and the chances but some great defending and goalkeeping from the Valley girls kept them out. Second half was much the same but the Finn Valley girls stuck to their task in keeping a very good Cappry team scoreless and almost nicked one through saoirse mc menamin. The evening finished up a 0-0 draw. Thanks to Cappry for the game and good luck for rest of the season. Thanks to Francis Cassidy for refereeing.

Illistrin 0-1 Drumbar United
Illistrin and Drumbar played out a hard faught game in excellent conditions in Corry Park. They game started in an even manner before the first chance fell to Illistrin. Beth McShane slipped Amy Buchanan in but her 1st time shot went wide of the mark. Drumbar began to control possession as the first half went on and were denied by an excellent double save from stand in keeper for the night Ava Rice. The illistrin defence marshalled the Drumbar attack before the only game of the game arrived. A fantastic ball over the top put Kadi Doherty in and she showed fantastic composure to lift the ball over Rice in goals and into the back of the net. 1-0 at the break. The second half began with Illistrin trying to get on the front foot and get their passing game going whilst Drumbar were looking dangerous at the other end but the Illistrin defence were standing firm. As time wore on Illstrin finsihed strong and applied great pressure with Amelia McLaughlin forcing the drumbar keeper into a save from a free kick, but unable to find the breakthrough with a few shots fired wide. A great game between both teams and thanks to Eunan Brolly who was excellent in the middle.

Division 1
Glenree 2-2 Letterkenny Rovers
Glenree welcomed Leterkenny Rovers to Glenree park on Tuesday evening for an entertaining evening of Football.
Both teams started well with chances for both but it was Rovers who broke the deadlock with a goal from Aoibhe Gibson on the 5th min. Glenree Keeper Clarach Walsh pulled of a brilliant save to keep the score line 1-0 and Glenree found the equaliser just before half when Erin Caldwell laid the ball back to Leah Harkin and she hit it low and hard to the right corner. Second half was much like the first with both teams having chances but it was Glenree who took the lead in the 46mins from Orla Cleary with a solo run and the reward of a goal. Glenree lead was short lived with Angel Abu equalising in the 50th min and that how the score remained with point shared. Thanks to Letterkenny Rovers for a competitive and entertaining game and thanks to Referee Sean O Donnell who kept the game flowing.

Kildrum Tigers 1-1 Kilmacrennan Celtic
In a real game of two halves, Kilmacrennan started much the better team only to find the Kildrum defence hiding firm. Jessica Mc Crossan then made a fine save from an incoming corner. Kilmacrennan then took the lead when Aoibhinn Hegarty controlled the ball in midfield and shot from to find the corner of the net. Kilmacrennan pushed for a second goal but found the Kildrum defence standing strong. Kildrum started the second half stong and a through ball from Emily Toland almost found Hatper Lynch Mahon only for the Kilmacrennan defense to cut it out. In the last ten minutes Kildrum broke and Harper Lynch Mahon found Aine Bovaird who went through on goal to shoot past the keeper. The Kilmacrennan keeper then saved well to keep Kildrum out. A draw a fair result on the night. Thanks to Kilmacrennan for a sporting game and to Patrick Martin for refereeing.

Bonagee United 5-1 St Catherines
A cracking game was on show between Bonagee and St Catherine’s. Both teams started well but it was the home side who got the breakthrough when Abbie Clarke finished well from a through ball from Ava Price. The rest of the first half was very even with Cassie McFeeters and Kendra McHugh having efforts on goal for St Catherines but they were brilliantly saved by Ella McGough in the Bonagee goal. The second half was more open with Sadie Harvey doubling Bonagee’s lead after an Abbie Clarke cross. The girls from Killybegs got one back through Cassie McFeeters with a good finish. Clarke then got her second of the game not long later. Ava Price then seen her free kick brilliantly stopped by the Saints keeper Sadhbh Daly. Price then got her goal after a curling effort went into the roof of the net. Clarke got her hat trick five minutes before the end after a good ball from Ruby Patton. A really competitive game with both teams putting in really strong performances. Best for St Catherines was Cassie McFeeters and Kendra McHugh with Ava Price and Abbie Clarke standing out for Bonagee. Thanks to Stephen Hegarty for reffing who had an excellent game.

Convoy Arsenal 0-4 Raphoe Town
U12 girls welcomed Raphoe Town to Orchard Park on Tuesday night. Raphoe came out strong and took an early lead after 4 minutes with a goal from Eva Hay. Raphoe kept the pressure on Convoy and Evana Roulstone got Raphoe’s second goal just before half time. Convoy never gave up but the Raphoe defence was letting nothing through. Raphoe increased their lead just after half time with a goal from Katie O’Connell. Evana Roulstone got her second goal of the night in the last few minutes of the game. This was a great competitive match and well done to Raphoe on the win. Thanks also to referee Daryl Nolan

Cappry Rovers Bs 2-6 Ballyraine As
Cappry fell to a 6-2 defeat against a strong Ballyraine side, with the standout performance coming from their number 10, Katie McDowell, who scored five goals on the day. Ballyraine started quickly, going 2-0 up through early strikes from McDowell. Just before half-time, Amelie Moore pulled one back for Cappry with a well-taken goal to give the girls some momentum heading into the break. Our young Cappry team battled bravely throughout, but Ballyraine continued to apply pressure in the second half. McDowell added three more to her tally, taking her total to five, before Cassie Diffley added their sixth. Cappry created some good chances, with Abaigh striking the post from a free-kick and Jamie-Leigh forcing a fine save from the Ballyraine goalkeeper. Eimear Moy grabbed our second goal with a brilliant strike, and Muireann impressed with a strong performance in midfield. Despite the result, it was a spirited display from our girls who continue to show great progress and determination. Well done, Cappry girls!

Division 2
Illistrin Bs 1-6 Letterbarrow Youths

Gweedore Celtic vs Ballyraine Harps (Gweedore Win)

Mulroy Academy 2-1 Gweedore United
This u12 girls game was played in a damp Rab’s Park tonight with very little separating the teams at the top of the table. Gweedore started stronger with a number of shots from distance dealt well by stand-in Mulroy keeper Leah Walshe. Mulroy took the lead from a corner. Amber Hewitt’s excellent delivery caused the Gweedore defence bother and the ball spilled to Sarah Carr who made no mistake from close range. Half time 1-0 to Mulroy. The second half was very even with the Gweedore midfielder Ivers impressing for Gweedore. On 40 minutes the ball fell to Zara Friel on the halfway line. She turned and ran at the defence beating three players and blasting the ball past the Gweedore keeper and into the roof of the net. Gweedore pressed hard and scored an equaliser on 46 minutes when ivers blasted home from a Mulroy lapse in concentration. Gweedore were unlucky with a number of attempts as was Vivian McGee for Mulroy.
The final whistle sounded much to the delight of the home support.

Finn Valley Predators 2-5 Donegal Town
Two quick-fire second half goals helped Donegal Town to victory against Finn Valley Predators on Tuesday evening in the Finn Valley Centre. Jasmine Melly got the visitors off to the perfect start after 4 minutes with a great solo effort. Not to be outdone, Amy Cooper scored a fine solo goal of her own moments later to level things up. The rest of the half was closely fought with both teams creating chances, but it was Jasmine Melly who put Donegal back in front with a well taken finish just before the break. Leah Joy Cannon further extended the lead in the 36th minute with a good finish and within minutes Harper Rose McDowell grabbed another with a cool finish from a tight angle. Brooke Devenney Darby made a number of good saves to keep Finn Valley in the game and another solo effort from Amy Cooper almost pulled one back. But Leah Joy Cannon grabbed her second of the evening to put the game beyond doubt. Full credit to the home team who kept going throughout, Amy Cooper almost got a second goal after rounding the keeper before finally getting her reward after springing the offside trap and finding the bottom corner. Thanks to Donegal Town for a tough but sporting game.

Gweedore United 4-6 St Catherines

Illistrin 0-2 Mulroy Academy

Division 1
Bonagee United 3-3 Milford
Bonagee U16 girls hosted Milford on a sunny evening in Dry Arch Park. As expected, the game got off to a quick start with both teams playing at a fast pace. After a fantastic run down the line by Bonagee’s Tara McDaid, Cari Callaghan McElwaine put the Letterkenny girls ahead 1-0 after 10 minutes. Bonagee was quick to strike again, with Ellen Temple putting the home side further ahead 2-0 after 20 minutes. Milford side did not dwell on this, and less than 5 minutes later, Darcy Nash got her team their first goal. Bonagee extended their lead just before the end of the first half with Cari Callaghan McElwaine getting her second of the game, leaving the scoreline at 3-1 at the end of the first half. Milford didn’t hold back in the second half with their first attempt just going over the crossbar. However, Milford made the most of their next opportunity with Kara McAteer finding the back of the net, closing the gap at 3-2. Bonagee had a couple of chances in the second half. However, Milford goalkeeper Megan McGinley denied the Letterkenny side any goals. Bonagee battled intensely to maintain their lead. However, in the dying minutes, Milford’s Amy Patton gave her side the final goal of the game, leaving both sides equal at 3-3 as the final whistle blew.

Keadue Rovers 3-1 Drumbar United
Keadue Rovers won their 2nd consecutive game on a 3-1 scoreline after this hard fought win over a good Drumbar side at Central Park on Wednesday. Playing with the aid of a breeze, the home side took advantage and were ahead following a quick attacking start, when a ball over the top by Emily Doogan was taken on by Rebecca Reetsang, who rounded the keeper to slot home a left footed finish. Keadue had chances to go further ahead in the opening twenty minutes when chances fell to Rebecca Reetsang, Caoimhe Gallagher and Annie Kerr but a combination of good Drumbar defending and good goalkeeping from Cara Tooher kept it at one. Drumbar, through the impressive Hannah McGowan started to pose more threat by 20 minutes and Alex Crawford was also getting room on the wing. They forced a few corners by the half hour and pressed Keadue back. McGowan had an effort just wide but on 35 minutes they were level after some good work by Sarah Colhoun, who evaded 3 tackles, fed the ball to Alex Crawford who finished well from the edge of the area for a deserved leveller. Keadue responded well to this within minutes, when Maria McGee’s shot was saved and Caoimhe Gallagher’s rebound was also saved on the line but Keadue went ahead once again on forty minutes, when a ball over the top by Aine Meehan was met on the run by Rebecca Reetsang who beat the advancing keeper to make it 2-1 at the break. Drumbar started the second half very strong with their midfield on top and up until 55 minutes, pinned Keadue back without creating too much in the way of chances. The Keadue reargaurd stayed firm in this time and halfway through the half, got more into it as Rebecca Reetsang and Eve McLaughlin combined well up the left wing. Reetsang shot wide on the hour as Keadue found more energy and got on top once again. Drumbar had a good effort from McGowan on 64 minutes, well saved by Gallagher in goals. Drumbar kept pushing and McGowan had a shot blocked off the line by Aine Meehan while Gallagher in the home goals saved well from Colhoun. Keadue brought on a few good subs and 6 minutes from the end, some good work from Shaylyn Boyle provided a through ball to Reetsang who made no mistake with a right footed volley to the bottom corner to ensure a 3-1 full time and leave Keadue top of Division 1. A very good game to watch, played in a tough but sporting manner. Thanks to Drumbar for travelling and to Paddy McCauley for refereeing. Glenea United 6-5 Donegal Town
In a thrilling and evenly matched game at PCC Falcarragh on Wednesday Glenea came out on top with a 6-5 win in a contest full of goals and drama. Áine Mangan was the standout in midfield for Glenea, putting in a superb performance and pulling the strings throughout. She opened the scoring with a stunning 25-yard strike that gave the Donegal Town keeper no chance. DT hit back quickly, with McDermott scoring just two minutes later, followed by another well-taken goal from Hegarty. Glenea’s midfield duo of Hannah McBride and Minnie Coyle worked hard throughout, battling for every ball. Annie Geaney was solid at left back, making sure nothing got past her. Lucy Doohan brought Glenea level with a brilliant 30-yard free-kick that bounced just over the keeper. DT’s O’Regan was a constant threat and added two fine goals of her own to keep her side in the game. But it was Shauna Doohan who stole the show, scoring four fantastic goals for Glenea.
Best on the night for Glenea were Shauna Doohan, who caused chaos up front, and Áine Mangan, who was magical in midfield. For DT, O’Regan stood out with her pace and sharp finishing

Division 2
Glenree 4-6 Raphoe Town

Lagan Harps 4-4 Ballyraine
Lagan and Ballyraine served up a real rip roaring encounter in Orchard Park. Ballyraine took the lead on nine minutes. A shot deflected off a defender and although Ciara Cullen got down to save, Eadaoin Kennedy knocked in the rebound. Lagan equalised minutes later when Aleisha Montgomery pushed away Sinead Mc Loughlin’s effort but Lauryn Harkin followed up to score. Ballyraine started to put on the pressure and the Lagan defence really struggled. Cara Mc Gonagle cut in from the left to fire them ahead again. Lagan then failed to deal with a corner and Finlay Doherty fired in their third. Minutes later it was 4-1. Lagan got caught with a ball over the top and Clodagh Patton scored. The introduction of Aoife Foy started to liven up the Lagan attack towards the end of the half, and they began to threaten again. The second half was a completely different affair. Lagan really tightened up at the back and Amy Lateef and Sinead Mc Loughlin began to get on top in midfield. Teaghan Doherty really caught fire down the right while Mikaela Breen and Aoife Foy combined well down the left. They pulled a goal back on forty three minutes when good interplay down the left ended up with Sinead Mc Loughlin scoring. Minutes later it was 4-3 when Sinead converted a penalty. Lagan were really on top at this stage and Teaghan Doherty hit the crossbar. The equaliser arrived on fifty five minutes when Teaghan score with a shot from wide on the right. Lagan thought they’d won it near the end when Teaghan’s shot across the goal came back off the inside of the post. Ballyraine weren’t done and Ciara Cullen had to rush off her line to pull off a brilliant block. Lagan then went down the other end, with a great run by Molly McGee, but the Ballyraine defence cleared the danger. Both teams deserve huge credit for a fantastic game of football.

DWL U14 Match Reports 11/07/2025
Premier Division
Keadue Rovers 3-1 Cappry Rovers As
On a spectacular evening at Central Park, both sides served up an entertaining game for the good crowd in attendance.
The home side started brightly and had Cappry under pressure early on, with Ella Bonner and Jessica Keys linking up well. In the 7th minute, Keadue took the lead after some wonderful interplay. Jessica Keys brilliantly set up Ella Bonner, who fired a fantastic strike from 25 yards into the top corner. Keadue dominated throughout the first half, but Amy Carroll in the Cappry goal and her defence worked hard to keep them at bay. In the second half, Cappry began to enjoy more possession in the attacking third, but Ciara Gallagher was in excellent form in the Keadue goal and dealt comfortably with any through balls. With Ayva Boyle pulling the strings in midfield, Keadue continued to create chances and were awarded a penalty in the 43rd minute. Jessica Keys won the spot kick after a superb dribble. Ella Bonner stepped up and smashed the penalty into the top corner. Keadue at this point in proceedings didn’t commit too many players forward which allowed Cappry to start gaining a foothold in the game and start to dominate the midfield area. Keadue however added a third goal in the 51st minute when Bonner was brought down in the box. She made no mistake from the spot, completing her hat trick with another top-corner finish. After this, Keadue began to sit back, allowing Cappry to exert real pressure. Leah Ward and Emily Doogan had to be alert to cut out several dangerous attacks. In the 64th minute, Cappry pulled one back when a mix-up in the Keadue defence allowed Katie Gallagher to latch onto a free kick and finish well. Cappry were on top in the closing stages as they dominated the midfield area and had Keadue on the ropes. Only a world-class save from Ciara Gallagher denied the visitors a second goal, which would have made for a tense finish. The final whistle came as a relief to the home side, who were hanging on in the last few minutes. A good second-half performance from a very young Cappry side, who gave Keadue plenty to think about in the latter stages. Keadue were well served by Ciara Gallagher, Ella Bonner, and Ayva Boyle.

Glenea 0-2 Bonagee United
Glenea were left disappointed but far from disheartened after a spirited display against a sharp Bonagee side ended in a 2–0 defeat. Bonagee started brightly and took early control of the game, pressing high and forcing Glenea onto the back foot. Their early pressure paid off when Ruby Sheridan found the net in the 11th minute, giving the visitors the lead. Glenea responded well, growing into the game as the first half progressed. Molly Friel brought great energy and composure in midfield, helping to turn the tide. Minnie Coyle worked tirelessly in her efforts, while Cáit and wingers Emma and Jenny showed grit and determination in attack. Caelin Meehan came closest to levelling the score with a superb solo run, only for her effort to be cleared off the line in dramatic fashion. As Glenea pushed for an equaliser, Bonagee remained dangerous on the break. In the closing stages, another swift counterattack down the right ended with Sheridan grabbing her second goal of the match, sealing the win for the visitors. While the scoreline didn’t reflect their effort, Glenea delivered a brave and committed performance, with standout contributions from Minnie Coyle and Molly Friel.

Division 1
Letterkenny Rovers 1-2 Raphoe Town
Raphoe Town claimed a hard-fought 2–1 win over Letterkenny Rovers in a game played under challenging heat, with both sides showing great resilience and determination. Raphoe came out strong and put the hosts under early pressure. Their efforts were rewarded when Cara O’Connell opened the scoring, setting the tone for the opening stages. The visitors doubled their advantage shortly after as Saoirse Deasley found space in the box and finished smartly to make it 2–0.
Rovers were almost undone again when Jenna Lynch broke through, but a brilliant save from Caitlin McBrearty kept her side in the game. That moment proved to be a turning point as Rovers responded with renewed energy. From a well-delivered Savanna Keys corner, young Aoibhe Gibson showed great composure to fire home from a tight angle, halving the deficit just before the break. In the second half, Aoiblinn McLaughlin and Aoise Diver began to gain control in midfield, with Cadhla McVeigh looking lively on the wing. McVeigh caused problems for the Raphoe defence and came close to finding an equaliser after a strong individual run. Despite both teams pushing until the final whistle, the heat began to take its toll, and chances were limited in the latter stages. Standout performers for Rovers were Aoise Diver and Cadhla McVeigh, while Saoirse Deasley and Brooke Johnston impressed with their strength and composure for Raphoe.

Glenree 2-2 Donegal Town Bs
It was honours even in a glorious night for football in Glenree. The first half was an even affair with very few clear chances. Donegal Town open the scoring on 45 minutes with a spectacular shot from outside the box by Ava ending up in the top corner giving Hannah no chance. The home team pressed for the equaliser but found Donegal Town holding firm with Isla outstanding all evening at the heart of their defence. Katie kept driving forward with some great runs from midfield. One of her runs down the left finally lead to the equaliser with Leah setting up Tara for a well-executed finish. Shortly after Glenree were ahead and again it was Leah providing the assist for Eilis to finish well. Glenree had chances to increase the lead with Ella Grace, Mia and Leah all going close. Donegal keep pushing for the equaliser and were rewarded late on when Katie broke through the heart of the defence to finish low into the corner. Both teams deserve huge credit for putting on a great display of football over the 70 minutes in testing heat. Thanks to referee Paul Murphy.

Kilmacrennan Celtic 2-1 Gweedore Celtic
On a fantastic evening for football both teams served up an entertaining battle in the soaring temperatures and in the end it was the home side who emerged victorious. An even first half with Kilmac enjoying plenty of possession with Eimear Quinn and Caidhla Conlon having chances but found Gweedore defender Nell nic Grianna and keeper Katy Bonner a tough nut to crack and it was 0-0 at the break. The second was along similar lines in the early stages again the home team dominating the ball but unable to find the breakthrough and on 50 minutes the visitors took the lead. A break down the left by Aisling O Donnell saw her cut the ball across the box and Kayleigh Ward fired high into the net for an excellent finish. The goal seemed to spur the home team on and just five minutes later they were level, live wire winger Eimear Quinn winning possession out wide , beat her defender and smashed her shot low into the far corner for a super individual goal. In the next attack Kilmacrennan scored again, Caidhla Conlon flying past her marker before delivering an inch perfect cross for Hayley Callaghan Carter to slot home first time into the net for an excellent team goal. Gweedore continued to push but the Kilmacrenan defence held firm to secure three valuable points and just about the right result in the end. Gweedore were well served by Nell, Aisling and Enya Logue with Orlaith Whoriskey, Jorjamae mc Groarty and Caidhla Conlon, with two excellent assists, were the standouts on an excellent night for footballl. Referee Daryl Nolan had an assured game in the middle.

Division 2
Ballyraine Harps 0-0 Drumbar United

Illistrin 0-3 Dunfanaghy Youths

Convoy Arsenal vs Lagan Harps (Lagan Win)
Convoy Arsenal u14 girls where in action tonight where they welcomed Lagan harps to a very warm playing field, with only 9 u14 players we called upon a few u12 girls to help out, with the bare minimum of 11 players the girls showed great skill and ability but Lagan proved the better of us through out with plenty of fresh legs in the dying heat they ran out with a 5-0 score line , this however doesn’t represent the effort that came from the Convoy girls, in the first half the convoy girls had to drop to ten players where the heat proved to much and Lagan showed true sprint dropping to an even ten in the second half but still remained the stronger team, both teams showed great resilience and ability in one of the warmest nights of football for our girls, while spectators and coaches stood on the sidelines sweating ,those young ladies from both teams showed true strength and ability, well done to them all and thank you to Barry Tourish for the water breaks and great refereeing

DWL U12 Match Reports 11/07/2025
Division 2
Gweedore United 3-1 Donegal Town
Gweedore United U12 A team welcomed Donegal Town to Gweedore on a glorious Friday evening for a game of football. Gweedore got out of the traps early in a very closely fought first half. Annie Ivers opened the scoring for Gweedorewith a long range effort in the 3rd minute, that the Donegal Town goalkeeper Ciara Curristan could do nothing about. Gweedore kept the pressure on Donegal but were unable to get that second goal. Aoife Cannon came very close to adding a second for Gweedore when her shot from outside the box came off the post. Ciara Curristan pulled off a number of saves to keep Donegal in the game. After the restart Gweedore United started to play some nice passages of play and their efforts nearly paid off when Annie Ivers was put through with a one on one with the Donegal goalkeeper, who got down early to save Ivors effort on goal that was bound for the bottom left corner of the net. Donegal Town had a few chances to narrow Gweedore leading the second half with good efforts from Harper Rose Mc Dowell and Aoibhe Mc Daid. It was a closely contested second half but Maire Fallon who came on as a sub for Gweedore at halftime scored the goal of the game in the 40th min with a stunning effort that nestled right in the top corner to make it 3-0 to Gweedore. Jasmin Melly made it 3-1 in the 47th min when she hit a powerful shot low into the corner that Muireann Doohan in the Gweedore goal could do nothing about. Gweedore held on despite immense pressure from the away team to seal the victory. Good team performances all around in an entertaining match. Thanks to Semi Ferry for reffing.
