Registration is open for the 2025 Donegal Town Eamon Harvey 10k road race and 5k family walk.

The annual race and walk gets underway on Sunday the 14th of September.

There is an additional charitable component to this year’s event, as all proceeds from the 5k family walk held in conjunction with the race will go towards the Solace Cancer Support Centre in Donegal Town.

The Centre in Donegal Town offers emotional support and practical help for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, or any life-threatening illness, providing support for families, friends, for care givers and the bereaved.

This year’s 10k route will see runners pass some of Donegal Town’s iconic landmarks and locations, starting with a 3km loop through the town centre, passing through The Quay, The Diamond, Donegal Castle, The Courthouse and St. Patrick’s Church. as well as crossing the River Eske twice.

From kilometre 3 to kilometre 7, runners will head south along the N15 towards Tullyearl, before turning right onto a stunning stretch of road that reveals stunning views of Donegal Bay – sure to provide a superb backdrop for the competitors to take on.

Registration for both the 5k and 10k is available online, but will also be available on the day at the Abbey Vocational School Gym from 8:00am – 10.15am.

You can register online and find out more by clicking here.
