More than 1,500 without power as thundery downpours hit Donegal

Power outages have been reported across parts of Donegal this Monday morning as heavy and thundery rain strikes.

Electricity outages have occurred outside Ballybofey, Cloghan, Dungloe and Gweedore.

The largest area impacted is Derrybeg, where 1,251 properties are without power since 7am.

ESB Networks are working to repair all faults with supplies expected to be restored in all areas by 9am.
