A huge audience tuned into RTÉ on Sunday afternoon to watch Donegal’s crushing victory over Meath in the All-Ireland semi-final.
The clash, which Jim McGuinness’ side won convincingly by 3-26 to 0-15, averaged 490,000 viewers on The Sunday Game Live. The figures peaked at 560,000 (17.20), with 54% of the available audience tuning-in. RTÉ Player also saw 176,906 streams as Donegal booked their place against Kerry in Sunday week’s final.
The Saturday Game Live on RTÉ2 began with Kildare’s win over Limerick in the Tailteann Cup Final. The Lilywhites victory was watched by an average of 151,000, peaking at 227,000 at the end of the game.
Saturday’s second live game saw an average of 424,000 watching as Kerry sealed their place in the All-Ireland Football Final by beating Tyrone. Viewing on The Saturday Game Live peaked at 510,000 (18.38) with 52% of the available audience watching. There were 144,276 streams on RTÉ Player.
