A Stranorlar man accused of assaulting another man causing him harm has been sent forward to Letterkenny Circuit Court on a signed plea.
Tristian McAteer appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
He is charged that on June 23rd 2024 at Hilltop Crescent, Drumboe, Stranorlar, he did assault Matthew Lenehan causing him harm.
The charge is Contrary to Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
The accused man’s solicitor, Mr Frank Dorrian, confirmed to the court that there is a signed plea in the case.
Garda Sergeant Maurice Doyle said the State is looking for McAteer to be returned to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court on October 28th.
Judge Eiteain Cunningham said she noted the accused had consented to go forward on a signed plea and gave the alibi warning.
Mr Dorrian said his client was not seeking bail as he was already serving a sentence in Castlerea Prison.
