Love him or loathe him – you can’t ignore him.
GAA pundit Joe Brolly is compulsive viewing or reading depending on how you get your GAA news.
So Donegal fans will be delighted to hear that the former Derry All-Ireland winner is backing Donegal to bring home Same Maguire to the hills.
Speaking on his Free State podcast the 1993 All-Ireland winner said: “I don’t see any flaws in Donegal and I don’t see how they could be beat.
“The only possibility is that David Clifford would do something extraordinary.”
It’s no secret that Brolly is a huge fan of Jim McGuinness and his go-to player Michael Murphy.
Kerry manager Jack o’Connor and his players will not be worried by Brolly’s claims.
Afterall, it was Brolly who strongly criticised the strength of the Kerry team prior to their decisive All-Ireland quarter-final win over Armagh.
He claimed in his Sunday Independent column that David Clifford is the only current player worthy of the Kerry jersey – a claim that backfired on him.
