Donegal Youth Service’s action packed ‘Party in the Park’ returns to Letterkenny tomorrow.

This year’s event, in collaboration with Earagail Arts Festival, will be bigger and better than ever and will take place from 12-6pm in the Bernard McGlinchey Town Park.

Now in its nineteenth year, past acts have included members of Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, In Their Thousands, Phat Kidz and Eve Belle who just supported Alanis Morrissette.

As always, entry is free so bring the whole family for a fantastic fun day out. This amazing event will have something for all ages including live music from young bands and solo artists, art workshops, festival face painting, sports activities, intercultural dance performances and much more.

Frankie McGreevy, manager with Donegal Youth Service, organised the first Party in the park 19 years ago. He says he is very excited to announce the return of the popular family friendly music event.

“The Party in the Park has been an invaluable creative platform for our local youth having showcased promising young talent throughout the years,” Mr McGreevy said.

“Many performers who began their musical journey at Donegal Youth Service’s ‘Party In the Park’ have proceeded to acquire successful recording contracts including members of Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, In Their Thousands, Phat Kidz and Eve Belle who just supported Alanis Morrissette! Popular local band ‘Stainless Steel’ will be returning to the stage for the second consecutive year claiming Party in the Park is where this all started for us and we are very grateful to the Donegal Youth Service for this amazing opportunity”.

Donegal Youth Service welcomes you all to join the festivities and celebrate this drug and alcoholic-free, family-friendly Party in the Park family fun music event!

The Our Generation Project is funded by the EU PeacePlus programme, a cross- border funding Programme supported by the European Union and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
