Gardaí are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen, and later recovered, in east Donegal last week.
The orange/black Kuboto machine was taken from a yard in the area of Tubber, Carrigans, sometime between 6pm on Wednesday, July 9, and the early hours of Thursday the 10th.
The quad was then located at Altaderry, Carrigans at 3.26am on Thursday morning. Two males had been observed dumping the quad in a ditch in that area and fleeing from the scene.
“We appeal to anyone who may have observed the stolen quad in use on the roads within the Carrigans area to get in touch with us,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.
“We also appeal to anyone who may have travelled in the area of Altaderry, Carrigans, or the Carrigans area in general between 3am and 4am with a dash-cam to make the footage available to Gardaí. We are particularly interested in any sightings of a grey Audi with English registration plates in the area with four males on board”.
Any relevant information may be passed on to Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. The Garda Confidential Line can also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
