Planning permission is being sought for a new motorhome and caravan park in Culdaff.

The proposed development, by Bruach Abhann Cuil Dabhcha Teoranta, will include four motorhome berths plus charging points and 18 caravan berths.

According to the application, the caravan park will facilitate both ‘the mica applicant and the tourist’, depending on their needs.

“A footpath is being proposed by the Culdaff Community in partnership with Donegal County Council to facilitate this location within the village of Culdaff,” the applicant added.

“It is also planned to develop a watersport amenity along the local stream as a tourist attraction to cater for the residents of this proposed caravan park”.

Planners are due to make a decision on the application by the first week of September.
