The award-winning Barrscéalta on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta is kicking off a special week of broadcasts from Monday in the lead up to the All-Ireland final, as Donegal prepare to take on Kerry.
The lineup will include an interview with Donegal star Daire Ó Baoill, parents of some of the Donegal players, and a number of the Donegal supporters who never miss a single game.
Throughout the week, Barrscéalta’s Michelle NicGrianna and Damien Ó Dónaill (main pic on right) will be looking back at this year’s championship, and memories of 1992, 2012 and 2014 will be shared also. Loyal Donegal supporters who are making their way back to Ireland from all corners of the world for the big day will also share their stories, and those from the Donegal diaspora who can’t make it home but who are supporting from afar.

A sporting expert will join the Barrscéalta team in the studio to analyse the game, and some special guests may also perform some newly composed Donegal themed songs throughout the week.
A number of prizes are up for grabs on the show during the week also, including a Donegal jersey, signed by the Donegal football team, and two golden tickets to the All-Ireland Final. The tickets will be awarded to the lucky winner at a special live programme that RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will broadcast from Dublin on the eve of the final next Saturday 26 July, presented by Donegal’s Damien Ó Dónaill, alongside Kerry’s Sláine Ní Chathalláin.
More information about this special broadcast will be shared on Barrscéalta on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta on Monday 21 July at 11am.
Barrscéalta airs from Monday – Friday at 11am on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
