ERNACT is seeking a proactive and organised Administration Assistant to support trans-European digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and within a team.
This role offers valuable experience in an international project setting, contributing to digital innovation in Europe. A panel may be formed after interviews to fill similar future roles.
About ERNACT
The European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology (ERNACT) is an international network of regional and city public authorities collaborating to access EU digital technology programmes and funding.
Jointly managed by Donegal County Council and Derry City & Strabane District Council, ERNACT leads cross-border digital transformation efforts in the Northwest of Ireland and works with regions across Europe through EU innovation, territorial, and research programmes.
ERNACT specialises in managing complex, multi-partner EU-funded projects across areas such as Artificial Intelligence, disruptive technologies, low carbon, circular economy, tourism, smart cities, and digital innovation hubs.
Administration Assistant (Part-Time)
Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term
Hours: 21 – 25 hours per week
Closing Date: 5.00PM, Tuesday, 12th August 2025
About the Role
The Administration Assistant will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. Key duties include:
- Managing routine office tasks and maintaining records
- Assisting with financial administration and procurement processes
- Supporting project delivery and coordination
- Booking travel and managing logistics for project-related meetings
- Liaising with partners and stakeholders across Europe
Reporting to the Senior Administrator, the successful candidate will support the ERNACT team in delivering European-funded projects in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in business administration, office management, or a related field.
- Have at least one years’ experience in an administrative or clerical role.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Have experience in supporting financial administration.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
