A young Donegal fan who is bravely battling cancer is seeking a ticket swap for Sunday’s final due to illness concerns.
Andrew McMenamin (35), an award-winning farmer from Castlefinn, is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
As a result, GAA mad Andrew wants to swap his two stand tickets for seats in an executive box. Posting on Facebook earlier, he said he needs to reduce his time spent in crowds over risks of picking up an infection.
“Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone can help, I have recently started chemo and I need to reduce my time in large crowds,” he explained.
“I wonder if anyone knows where, or how, I could get two box tickets for the All-Ireland final. I have two seated tickets that could be used to swap with, and before anyone asks they are not for sale, swap only! Please share as this would allow me to attend and reduce the risk on my illness. Thanks”.
Andrew’s plea was also reposted on his local Robert Emmets GAA club social media pages.
“If anyone can help Andrew on this request please let us know,” they stated.
“Andrew has done a massive amount of work within our club and it would be great to give back and see Andrew at the All Ireland Final! Please share”.
If you think you can help Andrew, you can contact him via the Robert Emmets Facebook page.
