Donegal athlete Erin Friel has run the race of her life to claim a brilliant bronze at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
The Letterkenny AC athlete ran a personal best of 54.02 to finish third in the 400m at the Toše Proeski Arena in Skopje a short time ago.
The Newtowncunningham teenager had won her heat but the final would be a different story as she was up against some amazing talent from across Europe.
But the 17 year old showed her talent as she finished third running out of lane 4.
