Burt 16 in a row title winning hurling teams to be given Civic Reception

The Burt GAA Club is to be afforded a Civic Reception to recognise its hurling teams that won a historic sixteen championship titles in-a-row.

The announcement was made at yesterday’s plenary meeting of Donegal County Council by the new Cathaoirleach, Councillor Paul Canning.

Teams from the Inishowen club won annual titles from 1991 to 2006 and are also the current holders.

The motion was seconded by Cllr Ciaran Brogan.
