The first appeal relates to a burglary that occurred at St. Mary’s Church (main pic) on Main St, Pettigo, last Thursday July 17, sometime between 9am and 4pm. The door to the Sacristy was forced open and entry was gained. The Sacristy was ransacked but nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Their attempt was unsuccessful and no money was stolen but damage was caused. One of the males was wearing a grey tracksuit, grey trainers and a black/navy baseball cap. The other was wearing a grey top, blue jeans and black trainers.

“We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have travelled in the area with a dash-cam between 11am and 12pm. Any relevant information should be passed to Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071 9858530.

Meanwhile, Gardaí are investigating a theft that occurred at the Parochial House in Doneyloop between 9pm on Tuesday the 15 th of July and 2pm on Thursday the 17th. A car that was parked near that location was entered and a set of keys and a small amount of cash were stolen from within. No damage was caused to the car. Gardaí appeal to anyone who may have observed any type of suspicious activity or vehicles/people in that area between those dates to make contact with them in Ballyshannon on 071 9858530.
