Party in the Park has been an annual fixture for Letterkenny’s young people for over two decades, and the 2025 edition certainly didn’t disappoint.
The annual event, hosted by the Donegal Youth Service, saw large crowds descend upon the Bernard McGlinchey Town Park last Friday.
Held in collaboration with the Earagail Arts Festival and funded by the EU’s PEACEPLUS programme, the event also provided a platform for 25 young bands and solo artists to shine.
There were plenty of other activities aside from the music too though, including some art workshops, festival face painting, sports activities, intercultural dance performances and much more.
Frankie McGreevy, Manager with Donegal Youth Service who organised the first Party in the Park 21 years ago, was very proud at the achievements of the young people who had such bravery to step up to the Paul Mooney stage.
“The Party in the Park has been an invaluable creative platform for our local youth having showcased promising young talent throughout the years,” he said.
“This year we were delighted to welcome young bands from County Louth from County Armagh and of course our own Donegal.”
In a statment, the Donegal Youth Service said that they would like to thank the local community for coming out to join the festivities and celebrate the talent of our young people.
The Our Generation Project is funded by the EU PeacePlus programme, a cross-border funding Programme supported by the European Union and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
