The newly opened Shandon Resort is celebrating in the beautiful sunshine, overlooking Sheephaven Bay after being recognised with a prestigious four-star status by Failte Ireland.

Carolynne Harrison, General Manager, said they are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this prestigious rating by Failte Ireland.

“It is further proof that we are continuing to hit the right note at the Shandon in all aspects, including people, service and style. Recognition has to go to my superb team who have given their heart and soul to the business & its guests over the last few weeks.’

The Shandon Resort opened to the public on the 25th March 2016 , after an extensive refurbishment of its 50 bedrooms, Restaurant, Bar, Lobby, Leisure Centre and Luxury Spa. Every location on the resort enjoys unrivalled views over the sea.

Head Chef Lee Vambeck has been given creative freedom when it came to producing its restaurant menu, with many guests ‘raving’ about the quality of their food & fine dining experience.
