GLENSWILLY GAA NOTES
Date set for club’s annual 5k
The club has confirmed that the annual 5k will take place on Tuesday, June 21st. The event has been a huge success in raising much-needed funds for the underage structures at the club and it is hoped as many entrants will join in the fun again this year. A full meeting and lunch will be held in the coming weeks and details will be released through the notes and on the club’s Facebook page.
Ladies notes
U-14 girls play Cloughaneely on Thursday 5th May, bus leaving clubhouse at 5.30pm.
Training continues for Under 12, Under 14 and senior ladies.
Darkness Into Light
With only 4 days remaining to the Darkness into light 5k Walk /Run, this is a final reminder to anyone wishing to join our Club’s Group Entry. There has been a fantastic response again this year to this very worthy cause from both our male and female members. We will meet between 3.45am and 4.05 am in front of The Swilly Meat shop where we will have your t-shirt and Geraldine will take a group photo. The Run /walk starts at 4.15am from the Community Centre and follow the planned route. Please contact 0861611240 before Thursday if u wish to join us ..€20 ADULT , €15 STUDENTS.
Under 14s
The U14s boys were unlucky in their semi-final league game to be beaten by Moville by a single point after a real battle. We wish the Inishowen team the very best of luck for the final.
FIXTURES
The following are some fixtures involving the various teams for the next few days. As usual, your supported is very much appreciated.
The Senior team and Reserves face Bundoran in Glenswilly on Saturday night. The Reserve game throws-in at 6pm and the Seniors throw-in at 7.30pm.
The U11 boys play Red Hughs on Friday night, May 6th at 6.45pm in Glenswilly.
The U14 girls play Cloughaneely away on Saturday, May 7th. Time yet to be confirmed.
The U12 girls play Letterkenny Gaels in Glenswilly on May 10th. Time also to be confirmed for this game.
LOTTO
The winner of last week’s lotto was Michael Murphy who matched three numbers. Lottos are available in all local outlets each week.
QUIZ
The Club is holding a Table Quiz in Callaghans on Friday 27th May. Teams of 4, entry €20.00. Everyone is encouraged to support.
BINGO
Bingo continues in the clubhouse every Wednesday night at 9pm. Please get there early.
