IT WON’T exactly come as a shock to most people, but figures released today show that house prices in the county continue to crash.
Property websites daft.ie and myhome.ie show prices have now fallen 34.6% since the peak in 2006.
Myhome.ie says the average price of a four bed semi detached house in Co Donegal was €185,588 in the last quarter of 2010, down 9.04% from the previous quarter, and down 10.4% in the last 12 months.
The average price of a three bed semi in the county was €165,000 down 3.8% from the last quarter, and down 7.6% from the previous 12 months.
Daft.ie says the average house price in Donegal in the final quarter of 2010 was €172k – a drop of €97k.
