DONEGAL UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES FALL

The number signing on the live register in Donegal fell by 658 in December – a 3% drop on November.

There were 21,054 people on the dole in the county last month.

The fall in the numbers was spread throughout the county with 176 fewer people signing on last month.

Dole figures in Inishowen fell 1.8%, Finn Valley fell by 3.6%, Killybegs fell by 5.6% and Dungloe by 2.8%.

There were 74 fewer people on the live register in Ballyshannon and 42 people signed off in Dunfanaghy.
