ABUSE CHARGES: A Donegal man is to appear in Harristown District Court on February 18th on a number of sex assault charges. He is accused of 84 counts of rape and sexual assault on four teenage boys between July 1990 and January 2005. The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his alleged victims, is also charged with the illegal possession of a firearm on Jun 6, 2010.
DENTAL CARE: Leading Donegal dentist Dr Dara Reynolds has called on the public to challenge General Election candidates on their entitlement to vital dental care. He said: “Make sure your election candidates tell you where they stand on these issues and urge them to reinstate entitlements under the PRSI dental scehem and Medical Card dental scheme.
EATING DISORDER: The Eating Disorder Association of Ireland is holding a meeting at the Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town on February 21. Experts will be on hand to answer questions. The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
RIGHT CHORD: The Donegal Chamber Orchestra is holding a concert at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny on Saturday (feb 19th) at 8pm. The orchestra will perform pieces by Mozart, Brahms, Handel and others.
