MORE THAN 500 runners and walkers completed the inaugural Cara Bundoran 10 mile challenge – started by the great Danny McDaid, Donegal’s double Olympian.

(Full results are on a separate post at https://www.donegaldaily.com/2011/03/06/cara-bundoran-10-mile-run-where-did-you-come/)

The event was a massive success and runners came from all over Donegal – and all over Ireland, giving Bundoran a timely economic boost.

The run was brilliantly organised and superbly supported by the local community as well as Tir Chonaill AC of course.

Eamon Harvey of the club told us: “It was a great day, made possible by a great deal of hard work in the background.

“Thankfully we also had fantastic weather.”
