The U12 Go Games will commence on Monday 2nd May and will continue on successive Monday nights with a throw in time of 6.00 pm until 27th June with finals day on Monday 4th July.

Minor Football

Donegal’s minor footballers will compete against the following teams in the Ulster Minor League, Fermanagh 19th March, Tyrone 2nd April, Derry 6th April and Antrim on the 9th April. The All Ireland Vocational Schools Final Replay will be played in Galway on St Patrick’s Dat with the throw in time to be confirmed.

Locally the the minor league will commence on Friday 1st April, with a throw in time of 7.00 pm. Clubs are reminded that in the event of both teams having seventeen or more players togged out games must be played fifteen a side. The opening fixtures are as follows:

 Registrations

Clubs are reminded that all players must be registered before they play.  Registrations for 2011 to be lodged with the Northern Board Registrar Emma McAteer and this is really important as the GAA Insurance System has a no tolerance policy this year due to an increase in claims over the past number of years.

Trophies:

All trophy winners are asked to return trophies to the Board Treasurer Brid Gallaher at the next monthly meeting which will be held in the clubrooms of St Eunans GAA Club on Monday 28th March commencing at 7.30 pm sharp.

Referees Course:

A course for new referees will take place in Ballybofey on Saturday next 12th March commencing at 10.00 am and finishing at approximately 4.00 pm. All clubs are asked to encourage new referees to come along and complete the course, which will allow tem to officiate at underage games during the coming season.

Ulster Under 10 Hurling Blitz Saturday 12th March

On Saturday 12th March, in Meadowbank Sports Arena, Magherafelt, Co. Derry, the 3rd Ulster Provincial U10 Indoor Hurling Blitz will take place. Last Year there was an astounding 756 players playing on 90 teams from 43 Clubs from across the Province which participated in ‘FUN’ Centred Blitz. There was a total of 220 games played over the 3hrs.  Again this year we can accommodate 108 teams (54 in session 1 and 54 in Session 2) All Hurling Clubs are invited to attend, BUT must be pre-registered. Coaching Session Wednesday 30th March

There will be a coaching course under the heading “Games To Develop Football U.10 & U.12” on Wednesday 30th March in O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny. All underage coaches in this particular age group are asked to attend.

Feile Peile na nOg

The All Ireland Feile will be held this year in Co Cork on 30th June. The regional final is expected to be played on Saturday 14th May and depending on entries may be held over two weekends, with the county final taking place on 28th May.
