SKITTLE ALLEY READY TO BOWL LETTERKENNY FOLK OVER

Workers put the final touches to one of Letterkenny’s most unique and quaint projects – the redevelopment of Skittle Alley at Lower Main Street.

The project, which cost in the region of €50,000 saw the car park area at the bottom of the Cathedral Town refurbished, replanted, paved and completed with a giant cast-iron archway.

The project is set to mark and hopefully breathe new life into the game which has been part of the local area for decades.

And today on St.Patrick’s Day, a number of games of skittles will be played recalling more gentle times gone by.

It is hoped the area will also play a pivotal part in the Letterkenny 400 celebrations.
