A total of 14 National Schools from across the county will compete in the inaugural Donegal Creameries Cup.

The participating Schools will all benefit from visits by FAI approved coaches organised by Finn Harps Football in the Community Programme.  The School team will also be managed by members of the current Finn Harps first team squad.

Harps football in the Community Officer John Campbell said the competition will become an important sporting outlet for National School pupils in the coming Years.

”We are looking forward to working with the participating National Schools in the County over the coming weeks and I think everyone involved will find the Project to be a rewarding experience. I would like to thank Donegal Creameries, our designated Coaches and Finn Harps Players for their generous support.

“We are also considering adding a second Phase to coaching activities this year so Pupils from as wide an area as possible can benefit.  We feel this initiative has great potential and next year we hope to increase the size of the competition to include as many National Schools in the County as we possibly can.”

The finals of the competition will be played on 15th and 16th June at Finn Park.  The Participating Schools are Bruckless NS; St Eunans, Raphoe; Convoy Joint NS; St Baithins, St Johnstone; Ballyraine NS;  Schoil Mhuire, Milford; Carndonagh Girls; St Crones, Dungloe; Dromore NS; Schoil Mhuire, Derrybeg; Brackey, Ardara; Fintra NS; Glencovitt NS.
