Naomh Adhamhnáin – Club Notes – 28.03.11

The Senior and Senior Reserve Footballers begin their 2011 League campaigns this Saturday with home games against Naomh Conaill in O’Donnell Park. Throw-in times to be confirmed.

All stewards are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the throw-in of the Reserve game.

The Senior Hurlers are also in action on Saturday with a home game in the Ulster League. The result of this game will determine whether they top their group or not before the semi-finals.

Throw-in time also tbc. The Sunday Morning U-10 Football Academy returns this Sunday (April 3rd) at 11am. All coaches are asked to arrive at 10:30am this week.

Remember all coaches must also be paid up members to coach the kids, you can register with Anne Forde on Sunday if you haven’t already done so. The Friday Hurling / Camogie Academy will return on Friday week, April 8th at 6:30pm. It will run for two weeks (April 8th & 15th) before breaking for Easter for two weeks and will resume on Friday, May 6th.

The Minor boys Footballers begin their League campaign this Friday (April 1st) with an away game to St. Mary’s Convoy. The U-16 Boys Footballers had another big win this week, defeating Burt.

They face a tough trip to Buncrana next Monday evening (April 4th). The Div. 2 U-16’s were beaten by neighbours Glenswilly in a close game. They take on the Gaels next Monday night out at the Thorn.

The Junior Men travelled to neighbours, Glenswilly for a friendly on Saturday evening and had a good win. We still have no League start date for Div. 5.

They have started training in the Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:45pm and everyone is welcome to come along. The Minor Hurlers play at home to Setanta this Thursday while the U14s play away to Setanta. U14 training is on Tuesday at 5:30pm. U-16 & Minor training is on each Monday at 5:30pm.

There is an outdoor hurling blitz on 3rd April in the Gaels pitch at 11am. There will be further blitzes on 22nd May, 26th June & 24th July. U-6 & U-8 training begins outdoor also on Friday 8th April. The next U-8 blitz will be held on 10th April in Gweedore at 11am. Further blitzes will be held on 8th May, 12th June and 10 July.

There will be a Table Quiz to raise funds for Camogie in the Station House Hotel on the 14th April at 9pm. This quiz will raise funds for a camogie kit for our camogie teams. Please make an extra effort to attend our first social event of the season. There was 1 winner in this week’s Lotto draw.

The numbers drawn were: 8-18-20-21 and Clare McArdle from Ard O’Donnell matched all 4 numbers and wins the Lotto jackpot of €1,100. Seller of the winning ticket was Adrian.
