Well done to all the Donegal dancers who recently competed in the 2011 world Irish dancing championships held in Dublin this week.
Special mention to young Gerard Byrne who won the boys under 12 section as donegaldaily reported last Monday.

Other Donegal dancers who came home with world medals are Áine McGill of McNelis Cunningham, Hayley smyth, Áine Cannon and Ross marley of Quigley school , Michelle Doherty of Ursula Moore school, Megan Bonner of Bonner Cannon school.

This year’s event was held in the Citywest Convention Centre in Dublin, with more than 5,000 dancers competing from all over the world.
