Starting with our ladies: the championship opener v Ard a Rátha was postponed on Sunday last, and has now been fixed for this Sunday, May 29th. Throw in at 12 noon in Páirc na nGael. Best of luck to Owen, Ciarán and the ladies. Please come out and support. At the time of going to press our u14 girls were set to play in Ardara on Tuesday evening, and they will have their last game on Tuesday next, May 31st, in Mountcharles. Throw-in at 6.30pm. Well done to our under 16 lads who overcame Glenfin in last Thursday’s divisional semi-final, played in Mountcharles. They now meet St Nauls in the final. At the time of going to press we were still awaiting confirmation of the fixture, but the game is due to be played on or before Friday. Best of luck to Kieran, Kevin & the lads. Our u14 lads face Killybegs on Wednesday 25th. Throw-in at 7.30pm in Fintra. The u12 game was postponed on Monday evening due to weather conditions. The next game is fixed for Monday, May 30th, playing host to Naomh Mhuire in Glen. We had a busy day at Páirc na nGael on Saturday last, when almost 100 local people were screened by the Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives mobile cardiac screening service. Fair play to everyone who availed of this opportunity. Congratulations to Chris Doherty and Kevin McNern, who were presented with their Donegal VEC All Ireland awards on Thursday night last. Well done to all at Gairmscoil na Carraige on their strong representation on the County VS team. The next club meeting is set for Thursday, May 26th, at 9.15pm. All are encouraged to attend. For anyone who wants to access club notes online, and who does not have access to Facebook, please check out www.donegaldaily.com. Notes are posted weekly. Níor bhaineadh lotto na seachtaine 17/5/2011. Uimhreacha 12-13-26-29. Duaiseanna Aitheantais: €50 Brendan Ward, Dooey. €30 Emer Duffy, Lr. Dooey. €20 Mrs. H.
