Please note that our Golf Classic has changed dates and will now take place on Bank Holiday Monday, June 6th in Barnhill. For more details see below.

There is a kids Fun Night in Arena 7 this Friday to help raise funds for the U-14 Boys footballers that will travel to Feile in Cork in July. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from Pauric Ryan or at Arena 7 on the night. The price includes food and bowling. It will begin at 7pm and finish at 9pm.

Tickets are now on sale for our €20 ticket draw. We need everyone to put in a big effort to make this a success. There is a fantastic top prize of €10,000.

We have provisional dates for our Summer Camps this year. The Hurling & Camogie camp is set for July 18th – 22nd with the Football camp from July 25th – 29th.  More details on those shortly.

Cúl Camps will be in O’Donnell Park the week of July 4th.

Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 23.05.11

The Seniors began their Championship campaign with  an impressive win away in Dungloe on Sunday while the Reserves have it all to do to force a playoff with the Rosses men. Both teams are at home to Malin this Saturday evening with 5:30pm (Reserves) and 7:00pm (Seniors) throw-ins.

The Juniors got their Championship campaign off to a good start with an away win in Downings in the Preliminary round. In a tight game they just came through but will need to work hard to ensure their passage to the 1st Round. They are at home to Glenswilly in the League this Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

The Senior Ladies lost their opening Championship game at home to Four Masters on Sunday. Hard luck to our representatives on the Girls Co. Minor team that lost their Ulster crown to Tyrone on Saturday despite 2-01 from our own Ciara Grant.

The U-16 Boys footballers narrowly lost their League Final to Northern rivals Buncrana going down by just a single point.

The semi-finals of the James Gallagher Memorial Tournament went ahead in the O’Donnell Park on Saturday. Despite the very wet conditions, the football played was of the highest quality and all players are to be commended for their skill and endeavour. St. Eunan’s and Ardara advanced to the final but we will have all teams back on finals day. The club would like to extend its best wishes to Cian Doherty of Naomh Conaill who suffered an arm injury and we wish him a speedy recovery. Special thanks to all those who helped out with teas and food on the day. Thank you to referees Marcus Harley and Michael Mulhern for officiating at the games.

There were no U-12 Go Games on Monday night due to the stormy conditions. The U-12’s will now take on Gaoth Dobhair on Friday evening in the Park while the U-11 game v Naomh Colmcille has yet to be reaffixed.

The U-10’s were in action way to Fanad on Saturday and left Portsalon with  a good victory. They are in Downings next time out on June 4th. The U-9’s hosted Convoy, winning one and losing one.

Congratulations to Gaeilscoil Adhamhnáin and Lurgybrack N.S. on their recent Cumann na mBunscoil victories.

The U-14 Boys footballers have qualified for Feile once again this year and face a long trip to Cork. They have a couple of upcoming fundraisers that we would like you to support if possible. This Friday (May 27th) in Arena7 they are having a kids fun night. Cost is €10 and includes meal and bowling so is very good value. Thanks to Enda Nicholls for his support. Contact Pauric Ryan for details and tickets will be available on the door on Friday night and the fun starts at 7pm finishing up at 9pm.

There will then be a Fundraising Dance in the Clubhouse on Saturday, June 11th in the Clubhouse from 9:30pm – 12:30am. Music is by Country Traditions. Supper will also be served and admission is €7.

The U-14 Hurlers lost to Buncrana in the League last Thursday. They play in the semi-final this Thursday away to Aodh Ruadh. The U-16 Hurlers have a Feile this Saturday. Venue to be confirmed. Congratulations to David Ireland and Aaron O’Connell who played on the U15 County Hurling Team last Saturday.

U-12 & U-14 Hurling training is on Tuesday at 5:30pm. U-16 & Minor training is on each Monday at 5:30pm. There will be further U-10 Hurling blitzes on 26th June & 24th July. The Friday Hurling / Camogie Academy is on at 6:30pm. The next U-8 hurling blitzes will be held on 12th June and 10th July.

Tickets are now on sale for our Fundraising Draw for 2011. Tickets are €20 and can be bought from most club members. Top prize is a fantastic €10,000. Contact co-ordinator, Brian Kelly if you want to help out with sales on 086-4188389.

The Golf Classic is on in Barnhill on Bank Holiday Monday, June 6th. For details on tee times or sponsorship, contact James Friel on 086-8255474 or Paul Carr (086-2836567).

The Sunday Morning U-10 Football Academy is on at 11am this week but will not be on the following week, Sunday June 5th due to the Bank Holiday. We also hope to confirm dates for our Summer Camps in the next week (1 week Hurling / Camogie & 1 week football) for ages 5 – 12.

The Lotto numbers for this week are 11-14-18-24. There was no winner of the the jackpot this week. There are 3 winners that each matched 3 numbers and win €35 each. Helena Thompson, Thorndale (Adrian); Kevin Blake, Garryharry and David McHale, Glenkeeragh (both card). Next week’s jackpot is €1,200.
