AN BORD Pleanala will decide in September whether or not to let a major development in Letterkenny to go ahead.

The Cullion Road residents group has lodged an objection to the proposed building of 300 homes and associated developments in the Oldtown area.

The proposed Scribbly development – which includes a pedestrian bridge over the Swilly River – is proposed by Blake Burke Limited and has already been granted planning permission by Letterkenny Town Council.

The devekopment would create hundreds of jobs.

However Cullion Road residents have objected on a number of grounds.
