Naomh Mhuire CLUB NOTES

Last Saturday was another historic day for our club when nearly 40 u-8s were the first team to train on the new training field. This facility will be a huge benefit to all teams and especially underage development in the future so great credit to all who involved in this project. Training continues for under 8s at 11 this Saturday.

The under 10s had a blitz last Saturday in the banks. We had three teams on the day and played games against Ardara and Naomh Ultan. Thanks to everyone who helped on the day. The under 10s travel to Gaoth Dobhair this Wednesday evening for a friendly. Training continues on Saturday at 12.

The under 12s played Aodh Ruadh on Monday evening and played well. Best on the night were Tuathal Lunny and Daniel Ward. Their next game is away to Kilcar next Monday evening.

The under 14s lost out to Dungloe last Wednesday evening. They play Four Masters this Thursday evening with a throw-in time of 8.15 in the banks.

The under 16s are the first team in championship action when they host Kilcar next Monday evening in the banks at 7.30. It would be great to get good support out for this game.

The finals of the successful summer league will take place at the Banks next Thursday at 4.30. Check the website for details on scores, fixtures and tables.

The summer coaching week is planned for the week of July 4th – July 8th.

The Seniors and Reserves had a home fixture last weekend against Milford and while both teams played well in the first half of both games there was still a lot of work to do but both teams played great second halves and eventually went on to win well. This weekend see away fixtures for both teams to Buncrana on Saturday evening. Please check website and papers for throw in details.

Ladies Championsip quarter final against Fanad Gaels is foxed for July 3rd. Venue To be sorted. Next league game is at home to Bundoran with no date set. The under 14 girls beat Naomh Conaill last Friday evening to qualify for the county semi-final. They play Moville this Friday evening in Glenswilly at 7.30. Good luck to all our teams.

Lotto details for week 15th June; jackpot 1800 euro. No jackpot winner. There were no 3 winners. Numbers were 4-5-9-15.

The club are now in a position to sell Azzurri “Windcheaters Tops” with club crest on them. These items of clothing are exclusively being sold by the club, sizes range from xxl to childrens range. To order contact Donal O’Searcaigh on 0863189331. Check out our club website www.naomhmhuire.ie
