OBITUARY NOTICES FOR TODAY – SUNDAY, JULY 17th

DAVIS

The death has taken place of Charlie Davis, The Mall, Ballyshannon. Reposing at his daughter’s residence, The Mall, Ballyshannon from 9pm this Sunday evening. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, The Rock, Ballyshannon. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the North West Hospice.

MORAN

The death has taken place of Jim Moran, Tirlaughan, Carrigart. Removal from his residence on Tuesday for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of St John the Baptist Carrigart. Interment afterwards in  the adjoining Cemetery. Family time from 10pm to 11am

MCLAUGHLIN

The death has taken place at his residence of Michael McLaughlin (The Rollerman), 64 Cockhill Park Buncrana. Remains reposing at his residence. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 10.40am going to St Mary Church Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family time please from 11pm to 11am. Family flowers only.  Donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny c/o any Family member.

BYRNE

The death has occurred in the Donegal Hospice of Roger Byrne Junior, Ailt-a-neen, Loughanure. Remains reposing at his Father’s home in Loughanure. Burial on Tuesday at 12 noon in the New Graveyard in Annagry. Family flowers only.  Donations if desired to The Donegal Hospice or the Donegal Pet Rescue c/o Shaun McGlynn Funeral Director or any Family member. House private from 10pm-10am

TONER

The death has taken place at his late residence of Jimmy Toner, Cruckcraw, Churchill. Remains reposing at his late residence. Funeral Mass in St Columcille’s Church, Glendowan on Monday at 3pm, followed by burial in Templedouglas Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations to the Friends of Letterkenny General Hospital c/o Charlie McClafferty Funeral Director, Churchill and Letterkenny

WALLACE

The death has taken place in Galway University Hospital of Lydia Hazel Wallace, late of Knockeen the Knock, Culdaff. Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral from her late home on Monday at 2pm  for Service in Hillhead Presbyterian Church with burial afterwards in the adjoining Burial ground. Family flowers only or if desired donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice c/o Collins and McDermott Funeral Directors or any Family member.

HOUSTON

The death has taken place of Sean Houston, Dunwiley, Stranorlar. His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral leaving his home on Monday at 1030am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Stranorlar, followed by interment in Drumboe Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny General Hospital c/o any Family member. Family time from 11pm until 11am and on the morning of the Funeral.

RODDEN

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Willie Rodden, Drumfinn, Termon. Remains reposing at his niece Ann McGahon’s residence at Drumfinn, Termon. Funeral Mass in St Columbas Church, Termon at 12 o clock on Monday, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Donegal Hospice c/o Charlie McClafferty Funeral Directors, Churchill and Letterkenny.

O’HAOIREACHTAIGH

The death has taken place in the Mater Hospital, Dublin of Aindreas Reamonn O’Haoireachtaigh (Ray), Ceol na Mara, Kilbeg, Kilcar and late of Piper’s Rest, Kilcar. Removal from the Mater Hospital Mortuary on Monday at 1pm going to Glasnevin Crematorium. Wake on Wednesday at his late residence in Kilcar. Funeral mass on Thursday at 11am in St Cartha Church, Kilcar with burial afterwards in the local Cemetery.
