BIG Donegal keeper Shay Given has admitted feeling right at home in his new job at Aston Villa.

In a wide-ranging interview the 35-year-old Lifford man admits taking a pay cut so he could leave Man City for first team football in Birmingham.

“When I left home at 16 I didn’t come over to make money,” he says. “I was following my ambitions to play football. So I was delighted when Villa came in.

“I took a pay cut, yes. But what do you do? Sit there and let your career fizzle out? Or do you kick on again?”
