LETERKENNY ROVERS NOTES

The clubs annual presentation for our senior and reserve teams took place last Friday night in the Brewery Bar.

In a well attended function the following awards were presented, USL Player of the Year-John Doherty, USL Young Player of the Year- Oisin Grant, USL Top Goalscorer- Darren McElwaine, DPD Player of the Year- Jordan McBride, DPD Top goalscorer- Paddy Mc Daid and DPD Management team of Garrett McDaid and Colm McConigley received appreciation awards.

Our first travel to Cork this weekend to play College Corinthians AFC in the FAI Intermediate Cup. Eamonn McConigleys charges are leaving on Saturday afternoon and anyone wishing to travel should contact any committee member ASAP.

Congratulation to our Chairman Dessie Kelly and first team manager Eamonn who were elected to the top table at the Ulster Senior League AGM on Monday night. Eamonn was elected as Chairman and Dessie was elected as Registrar.

In the Letterkenny and District Schoolboys league, our Under 16s defeated Lagan Harps last weekend by 1 goal to 0. Goalscorer for Paul Browne’s team was Kieran McPherson. They are currently top of their league.

The Under 8’s and 10’s were playing in the Schoolboys Boals Goals competition last Saturday. They are out in Boals Goals again this weekend. A big thank you to the National Irish Bank who sponsored the junior teams with a set of jerseys.

Bingo continues this and every Thursday night in the Station House Hotel. The Jackpot on the single sheet stands at €1075.

The numbers drawn in this week’s lotto were 2,17 ,19 and 24. Liz Campbell(seller M McBride), Monica Cassdy(seller- V Fisher), Teresa McAuley(seller- V Fsher) and Rosaleen McCarron(seller- M McBride) matched 3 numbers and won €20 each. Next weeks jackpot is €1175.
