GAA Bingo – Its Christmas and from this Thursday 1st December there will the usual Christmas side prizes so come along and enjoy the Christmas craic every Thursday Night At 9pm In St Marys Hall Clonmany Everyone Welcome

Match & Win for 8/12/2011 No jackpot winner last week this weeks will rise to €2,620.00 numbers drawn were 3,5,7,11 the €15 consolation prizes went to Mary T Devlin Annagh, Vincent McLaughlin The Castles I.O.D,John Gill Gortfad,Breege McCarron Cleagh, Darren Gill 5 Gaddyduff.

Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM last Sunday night. The meeting was a very positive affair for the club and has put in place a strong dedicated committee for the year ahead. Thanks to everyone who agreed to take a position and to all those who put their names forward as assistants to the various officers. The new committee is as follow:

Chairperson: Danny Friel

Treasurer: John Friel

Secretary: David Hession

Public Relation Officer: Liz O’Neill

Children’s Officer: Susan McCarron

Coaching Officer: Alan Friel

Cultural Officer: Patsy Devlin

Michael Doherty stepped down as Senior team manager because he wouldn’t be able to dedicate enough time to the role for this upcoming year. Danny Friel on behalf of the club thanked him for the time he and his team of mentors had put in over the course of the 2011 season and looked forward to seeing him involved in some other role over the years to come. Michael will take up a position on the Executive committee along with Mark Gilmore, Donal Kelly, Alan Friel, John Joe McDaid. The rest of the Executive positions will be filled from the officer board of the club. The position of Senior manager has still to be filled and anyone interested in taking on this job for the 2012 season should contact Mark Gilmore or David Hession.

Urris GAA (Underage) Christmas Draw tickets now on sale 1st Prize €100 Hamper 2nd Meal for two 3rd Bottle Whiskey 4th Box Chocolates 5th 2 Bottles wine. €2.00 a ticket Book of 6 €10 see club members for tickets draw will take place in St Marys Hall on 22nd December.

Duck Race- Our 2nd Annual Rubber Duck Race takes place on St Stephen’s Day 1pm at Binnion Bridge – Ducks are a recession beating €5 this year with a first prize of €250 to the first duck past the post; 2nd duck home will receive €150 and the third home €100; for those ducks who are feeling the excesses of Christmas there is also a prize of €50 for the last duck home. Finally there will be a prize for the best dressed duck selected on the day.To buy your duck contact any club member.

Scrappage Saturday -Thanks to everyone who helped out with scrap collection day held last weekend by the club. Thanks also to everyone who took the time to dig out old scrap and donate it to the club. The funds raised will be put to use over the coming months as we prepared again for the season ahead.

Foundation Coaching Course:- The Inishowen Board are looking for names of people interested in doing a Foundation coaching course in the early part of 2012.The course is usually run over two sessions which includes one evening and a full day session. Child protection is also included as part of the course and is a prerequisite to qualify overall.Any one intending to help with coaching teams for the club in 2012 should have this minimum level of proficiency.Anyone interested in doing the course should contact John Friel 0860523550 or David Hession 0860538537 as soon as possible.

Club Merchandise – New Club Jersey and hat are now available in Centra, the club has a range of merchandise available in all sizes polo shirts hoodies jackets and not forgetting the all important urris hat for the coming winter contant Alan 0879029672.
