WHY BIRTHDAY BOY DANIEL’S PRESENTS WON’T STICK IN HIS THROAT!

Daniel O’Donnell has been forced to tell friends not to send him boxes of Fishermen’s Friends throat sweets for his 50th birthday!

The singing star celebrates his milestone birthday today – in a secret location.

And although he says he doesn’t want birthday presents he let it slip that he has now become somewhat addicted to the cough sweets after developing a sore throat in the US.

“I know people are going to go out and get him boxes of the things now but he has enough,” laughed wife Majella.

Majella has whisked Daniel away to a secret location for three days and has refused to tell ANYONE where they are going.

“I have a strange feeling we could be going camping,” laughed Daniel.

Although the couple are only going away for three days, the couple are going on a much-deserved cruise in February.
