The family of a young Donegal man who died when he fell from a wall have appealed for the return of his phone.

Caolan Page, 19, suffered serious head injuries when he was found unconscious on Magazine Street in Derry city centre in the early hours of October 14th last.

It was initially thought he may have been assaulted but it is now believed he may have fallen from a wall.

Despite an extensive search by his family, Caolan’s iPhone was never found.

It contains hundreds of pictures of Caolan, as well as his family and friends – pictures his family want back to treasure.

Now his step-father Martin Dillon has appealed for the safe return of the phone which contains some of the last pictures of Caolan’s alive.

“It’s not for the value of the phone at all but what’s on it we are keen to have – the recent photographs are very important to us.

“We’re not sure what exactly is on the phone but we know that Caolan took a lot of pictures with that phone whe he was out and about.

“We have great memories of Caolan and many pictures but it would be something special just to get the phone or just the SIM card with the pictures on it,” he said.

Stephen said that even the return of the phone’s SIM card will be of enormous help them them as the prepare for their first Christmas without Caolan.

Anybody who has the phone or may know of its whereabouts can post it anonymously to Martin Dillon, Killea, Lifford Co Donegal.
