Finn Harps have taken a huge step to securing their future despite facing an uphill financial battle in recent months.
The club has confirmed it has submitted all financial and administrative criteria to comply with 2012 Licensing requirements.
Up until recent weeks the Ballybofey club faced an uncertain future with heavy financial debts.
However a robust fundraising campaign in recent weeks has now put the club on a more even foothold.
A statement issued by the club has confirmed it will play senior football in 2012.
“The Club would like to express its sincere gratitude to the sponsors, organisations and members of the public who supported and contributed to our Fundraising ventures in 2011.
“We would also like to pay tribute to our volunteers whose incredible hard work and dedication has ensured that Donegal will continue to host senior football in 2012.
“The Club would like to acknowledge the huge commitment made by Denise O’Neill, Club Treasurer, and Lucia Foley, Club Administrator, who’s hard work ensured that the extensive administrative challenges presented by licensing were successfully completed.”
The club also wished all supporters a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year as we look forward to the 2012 season.
