ESB emergency crews have fixed power to more than 3,500 homes in the past few hours – with just 500 more to go.
The Buncrana area was one of the worst affected areas in Co Donegal with small numbers of black outs in other areas of the county.
Anyone who has a fault – and can see this story on a smart phone – should report it to 1850 372 999.
The ESB says crews will work right into the night to restore power to last affected homes.
