GAA NOTES: NAOMH BRID

The annual AGM took place on Sunday afternoon in the community centre. Chairman Martin O’Malley opened proceedings by thanking all club members playing and otherwise for their dedicated services to the club in 2011. Secretary MichaeL Quinn then proceedeed to thank all members and everyone who assisted him in his first year in the job. Election of officers then took place with officers elected being: Chairperson; Martin O’Malley, Vice-Chair; Tony Walsh, Secretary; Michael Quinn, Asst-Secretary; Donal Corcoran, Treasurer; Pat Sweeney, Asst treasurer; Pauric Molloy, Registrar; Sean Gormley, Players Rep; Donal Martin, Irish Language and Culture; Jamie Timoney, Youth Officer; Jamie Timoney, PRO; Shane Walsh, Coaching Officer; TBC. Other members of the executive for 2012 include: Sean Gormley, Dermot Langan, Seamus Gallagher, Sean Timoney, Michael Walls Jr, Danny McNamee, Jim McGrory, Pauric Molloy, Donal Corcoran, Darragh Quinn and Sean Rooney.

Ulster GAA’s annual Club Officer Training for NEW Officers will take place this Saturday (14th January) from 10am to 1pm in Holy Trinity College, 9-29 Chapel Street, Cookstown, BT80 8QB. Contact the Secretary if you wish to attend.

The club would like to inform all that Club Membership is now available at a reasonable €30 for the coming season. This can be paid by members to Pat Sweeney and by players to Donal Martin.

Bord Na Nog are holding their first meeting of 2012 on Friday night at 7pm in the clubhouse.

There will be the first senior executive meeting of the year on Friday night also at 8pm in the clubhouse. All executive members must attend.

Well done to David Walsh who made his first appearance of the season for Donegal in their defeat to UUJ at the weekend.
