While Donegal teams didn’t feature in the placings at the Northern Ireland Senior Cross Country Championship’s in Antrim on Saturday there were some strong individual displays from LAC. In the Senior Men’s Race Letterkenny’s Ciaran Doherty finished 23rd (39.29) overall followed by his club mate, Pauric McKinney (35th 41.08)

Former Irish marathon champion, Gary Crossan, finished in 37th place (41.24) and the fourth scorer for LAC was the ever improving Paul McGlinchey in 67th place (44.34). In the Senior Women’s Race, Fionnuala Diver (23.24 put in a terrific performance to finish 22nd overall. She was the only Donegal competitor in the field of 52 runners and deserves great praise.

The lotto numbers drawn on Saturday night were 7, 10, 20, and 24. There was one match three winner-Conal McGonigle, The Cottage Bar. The jackpot on Saturday night in The Glencar Inn will be €990.

The club would like as many members as possible to support Garvan McCloskey’s Relay for Life project which was launched on Monday night in The Mount Errigal Hotel. The project aims to raise €100,000 to fight cancer. More info on facebook Relay for Life.
