The county finals of the Futsal competition for 3rd/4th class children took place in the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny on Tues. 31st Jan.

The finals involved teams from across Donegal who qualified from their area finals. In the boys section played on a league basis, Kilmacrennan, Lurgybrack, St Johnston, Stranorlar & Ballyshannon competed for the title.

In keenly contested games it was the boys from Kilmacrennan NS who triumphed after winning 3 games and drawing 1 of their 4 games.

The girls section saw Glenties, Ballyshannon, Kilmacrennan & Castelfin compete for the title. The winners were Castlefin who won 2 and drew 1 of their 3 games.

This competiton was very well organised by FAI coach Trevor Scanlon along with students from the LYIT and great credit must go to all.
