Termon GAA Notes: Week Ending 06/02/12

Ladies Board:

The club intend to have a Junior ladies team again this year given the success last year. If you are interested in playing this coming year, please contact Harry McGlynn on 086 850 0734. There will be a players meeting for both Senior and Junior players in the coming weeks to organise training etc.

Hard luck to the Donegal team and its Termon players defeated by Cork in the first National League game of the season.

Minor Board:

The Under 12 & Under 14 Boys Squads continue training in the Craoibhin on Fridays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm . All new players are welcome in those age groups; any queries contact either PJ McFadden on 086 864 1159 or Bernard Gallagher on 087 694 9165.

Well done to the Minors who got their season up and running with a friendly win at the weekend.

Lotto:

The Lotto draw took place in McClaffertys, Churchill on Friday last. The winning numbers were 6,10,22 and 27. There was no Jackpot winner. James Crossan matched 3 numbers. There was 2 winners in the open draw, Corey Gallagher and Paddy McDaid won €10 each. Next weeks draw takes place in the Glenveagh Inn. Eddie Harkin and Brian McDaid are the coordinators. The jackpot now is €1700.

Senior:

The Senior men will begin their season against Naomh Mhuire in the Junior Gaeltacht on Sunday the 19th of February at the Burn Road at 2p.m.

Club Social:

The club will be hosting a Mr and Mrs in the Lagoon on the 17th of February 2012. A good night’s craic is guaranteed.

The club social night takes place on the 10th of March 2012. Save the date now, more details and tickets will be available in the coming weeks.

Other:

A meeting will be held next Wednesday the 15th of February at 8.30pm in the Craoibhin to begin planning our clubs 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013. Anyone wishing to be involved in the organising of the celebrations is invited to attend.
