Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 13.02.12

Thanks to everyone that helped out on Sunday as we hosted the NFL Div. 1 game between Donegal and Laois. Unfortunately the result didn’t go Donegal’s way on Sunday. Well done to Vincent McGlynn and his team that had every aspect covered in their preparations, the Park looked great for the 12th of February.

The Senior Hurlers continued their good run in the Ulster League at the weekend when they travelled to Blacklion and came away with a good victory over Wolfe Tones on a score of 1-11 to 1-05. Congratulations to Colm Breathnach on his recent Lory Meagher All-Star Award.

Comhghairdeas le na hiomaitheoirí go léir as an chlub a ghlac páirt i mbabhta leath cheannais na contae de scór sinsir i nGleann t-Súilí oíche Shatharn. The balled group gave an excellent performance and qualified for the county final along with the instrumental group and in solo singing, Seán Feeney gave an excellent rendition of “The Maid of Culmore” to also book his place in the final. The club also took part in Tráth na gCesit but Brian McGeehin, Seán Dunne and Hugo Dorrian unfortunately missed out on a qualifying place. The county final is scheduled to take place in Gleann t-Súilí on Saturday 25th February at 7.30pm. Ádh mór ar na hiomaitheoirí uilig as Namoh Adhamhnáin a bhéas ag glacadh páirt sna comórtais Bailéad Ghrúpa, Ceol Uirlise agus Amhránaíocht Aonair i gcraobh cheannais na contae de scór sinsir. A great night is assured at the final so why not go along and support our competitors.

The Senior, Reserve, Junior and U-21Football Championship Draws take place this Saturday, Feb. 18th.

There will be another Registration Day between 11am – 1pm in the Clubhouse this Saturday (Feb. 18th). All Minor Registrations must be with the Northern Board by the end of February.

The U15 Camogie tournament to be hosted by St. Eunan’s had to be postponed due to the unavailability of a number of teams. Hopefully it will be rescheduled in the near future. Camogie fixtures for the year are currently being set so if there are any comments/questions please let us know ASAP.

The Minor Board Executive are meeting this Thursday (Feb. 16th) at 7pm in the Clubhouse. All managers are requested to attend this meeting. All Managers please contact Paul McGovern to book your training slot for your team as the evenings are filling up fast with Friday’s already fully booked.
