LETTERKENNY ROVERS CLUB NOTES

The club held its AGM in the Station House Hotel on Tuesday night and the following executive were elected,Chairperson -Dessie Kelly, Ass Chairperson- Victor Fisher, Secretary- Eric White , Ass Secretary-Michael Duffy, Treasurer- Brian McCormick, Ass Treasurer- Cormac Curran and PRO-Stephen Doherty.

Our youth team defeated Drumbar United last Saturday in the John “Gorey”Curran Cup quarter final. Goal scorers were Kieran Doherty, Welton Maia and James Gillen. They will play Cappry Rovers in the last four of the competition.

Last night (Wednesday) they defeated Illistrin in the Colin Breslin Cup quarter final. Goal scorers Luke Bonner(2), Ricky Gallagher, Warren McGinley, Luke Friel and James Gillen.

This Saturday, Anthony’s young guns play Cappry Rovers in the Dick Duffy Memorial League Play off. The game is scheduled for Ballyare but may be switched to another venue if Ballyare is unplayable .

The numbers drawn in this weeks lotto were 2,13,22 and 24. Dessie Lynagh(seller-Victor), Kevin Ginty(seller-Victor) and Kieran Cox(Aaranmore Island) all matched 3 numbers and won €25 each. Next weeks jackpot is €1475.

Happy retirement to our first team kit man , Patsy Collins who retired from the Donegal County Council after over 40 years employment with them.

Finally, congratulations to first team player John Doherty and his wife Siobhan on the birth of their baby girl on Monday .
