OSCAR FILM MUSICIAN TURNS UP IN LETTERKENNY!

It’s not often Donegal can boast playing host to a music star who has done the music score for an Oscar-winning film.

But that’s exactly what happened in Letterkenny this week when Foy Vance turned up in town.

The popular Northern Ireland singer-songwriter stayed at the Clanree Hotel where he was believed to be recording at local recording studios.

Foy recorded the music for The Shore, the short film by Terry George which scooped an Oscar in Hollywood this week.

A source at the Clanree told Donegaldaily.com “He was very down-to-earth and very nice.

“He didn’t have any airs or graces about him and chatted away. As far as we know he was recording some stuff locally.”
