A score in the dying moments of today’s Division 3A National Hurling League saw Donegal beat Sligo at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny.

Joe Boyle was the hero as it looked like Sligo would snatch the points.

Donegal worked hard throughout with Niall Campbell scoring an impressive 10 points for the home side.

Indeed Donegal went in 0-9 to 0-6 down at the break.

They continued to work away and register the points but Sligo hit the back of the net twice to peg back those points.

Stephen Gillespie managed to grab a goal back for Donegal but it was Joe Boyle who kept his composure in the dying moments with the vital pint to finish 1-16 to 2-12.
