AIDAN GUTHRIE’S DRUMKEEN NEWS: Spring Clean
Spring Clean on Saturday 31st March in Drumkeen and the surrounding
areas, meeting at St. Patrick’s hall at 10am. Litter pickers, gloves
and refuse sacks will be available at the hall .Everyone is asked to
come along and help, or clean up their own areas.
Spring Clean (Take 1)
On Saturday 10th March a (very) small but dedicated band of
cleaner-uppers took to various stretches of the Letterkenny – Drumkeen
road to gather up litter and raise some money for the Irish Cancer
Society through Relay For Life. Although the turnout was small – a
total of 48 sacks of litter were removed at an average of
approximately 1 bag per 100 yards! Many people commented that it was
more productive than some other sponsored events. A big thank you to
Charlie & Johnny at the Parkside Service station for their support and
for the very welcome bacon rolls! Also a big thank you to Browne
Printers & the pupils of Lurgybrack NS for the signs. You can show
your support for this activity by donating to the collection boxes at
Parkside Service Stn, Jameson’s Bar, Patton’s Post Office or the Dry
Arch Service Stn or on line at

Free Computer Course
The Congress Resource Centre in Letterkenny is currently running a
computer course for beginners. All ages catered for. (2 hours per day
for 3 days.)The course covers Basic keyboard skills, email, Skype,
